The Big House

The house is approximately 2500 square feet. There are two bedrooms
and 3 bath rooms. 1 master bath upstairs, a guest bathroom off the dining area, and a 3/4 bath adjoining the downstairs bedroom. We created this house with the outside in mind. Because it is so private and we used as much glass as we were allowed, one has a real sense of connection to the surrounding outdoors.  There are three sets of 10 foot sliding doors that wrap around the house to take advantage of the warm nights. This is a passive solar design so the view you see here faces south. It is designed so there is optimum light in the home in winter and during the summer months it remains cooler. The exterior is stained stucco and the windows are all metal framed Milgarde.
The ceilings are very high, 24 feet at the peak with a huge Fir beam across the center.
The second level is on a mezzanine.
This home is completely designed and built by us so the details are wonderful , careful and uncommon.

A large deck that wraps around the front serves as an outdoor living
space all summer. We are above the fog line usually. Sometimes it will find it's way up here but our elevation blesses us with sun and warmth when the coast is socked in.
